CSAS is a Magnet school that serves K-12.
The Kindergarten admissions process is held the school year before the student starts school. Applicants cannot complete the admissions process or submit the Kindergarten application earlier than their child’s eligibility for Kindergarten (i.e. you can only complete the 2025-2026 process if your child will be eligible to start Kindergarten for that school year.) Waitlists expire the 1st day of school of the applying year.
2026-2027 SCHOOL CHOICE ADMISSIONS:
Lottery applications will be available with all Hamilton County Schools of Choice online at www.hcde.org/choosehamilton

There is no required step before applying to the lottery.
*Applications to CSAS, CSLA, Normal Park (Kindergarten), and STEM School (9th grade) will take each applicant’s school board district into account for the lottery. These schools participate in a balanced lottery to fill available seats based on the projected percentage of students per school board district in Hamilton County. Your seated or waitlist number will be for your school board list. For example, if you are on the waitlist at #1 for CSAS District 1, you are #1 on the list for seats allocated for school board district #1.
The HCS Choice lottery is scheduled for February 6, 2026.
Families will be notified of their lottery result by February 13, 2026.
Responses must be received by February 20, 2026 to accept or decline placement.
A final step at the school scheduled in the spring will secure placement for the 2026-2027 school year.
